Samacitta Foundation — समचित्त फ़ॉउंडेशन

About Samacitta

Distress doesn't start in a clinic. It starts at home, at work, in classrooms, in the quiet moments when someone feels alone.

Samacitta exists to build the care that belongs in those everyday spaces — before things reach a breaking point.

Samacitta means an even, balanced mind. It's what we work toward — for individuals and for communities.

What we're building

We believe emotional care needs to be built in layers — just like healthcare.

We build people's inner capacity

Through workshops and trainings that teach everyday listening, emotional awareness, and the skills to support others. We call this Neev — foundation.

We create spaces for connection

Circles where people can talk openly, be heard, and feel they belong. We call these Judaav — connection.

We offer support when it's needed

Through Pukar, our free emotional support helpline staffed by trained listening volunteers. Pukar has been running for over two years.

We hold all of this together

With strong ethics, safeguarding protocols, and a commitment to doing this work with integrity.

Our journey so far

Samacitta Foundation was formally registered in 2025 as a Section 8 company. But the work started two years earlier — in August 2023 — with Pukar, a free emotional support helpline.
